Most of the changes in this revision have to do with the use (or non-use)
of DirectX:1. Went back to using DirectX7 library. Still requires Minimum of DirectX 8.
2. Use DirectX sound and multi-media sound players in concert with each
other. Known problem of DirectX sounds disappearing and reappearing which
is a Windows/DirectX issue not a software issue. Therefore, use the
multi-media player to play 'priority' sounds and DirectX to play sounds
that may occur in multiple (example: lane trigger sounds). -
Enable use of space bar and F8-F12 to toggle power in Practice session.
Eliminate capability of entering text for lane identification in Practice. -
Corrected a report printing problem.
-
Automatically load the last setup parameter definitions for Race and
Dash and added a 'Load Defaults' button option to load the default setup
values instead. -
Limit the width and height of the display forms to the current size of
the computer CRT. These bounds could be exceeded if the screen resolution
has been changed or copying and using a configuration file from a different
computer. Portions of the session display (for example: time remaining in
race) could be hidden if the display form height is allowed to exceed the
screen height. -
Many other changes were made concerning sound, but will be transparent to
the typical user.
